Overview

Transparent Keywords is an advanced feature that enables you to add one or more phrases that GoodTime Meet will recognize in calendars to mark certain events as “transparent” so your scheduling links will share open availability.

Example Use Cases

  1. Overriding Interview Blocks → if you create a set of interview blocks on your calendar to make sure you have enough time to do interviews, but don’t want to block your scheduling links from scheduling over that time, you can create a keyword Interview Block that Transparent Keywords will recognize and make sure your scheduling links will still work over this time
  2. Overriding Reminders → often times people create reminders on their calendar that don’t have to block their availability that is shared. When adding these reminders, if you title them with the keyword “Reminder” and also add Reminder to your Transparent Keyword list, you can share availability over times blocked by your reminders.
  3. Pre-Blocking Calendars → often times you may want to pre-block your calendar so you can reserve time in the future that others will not book over. For example, if I want to reserve a block of time for Office Hours every Friday between 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm, I would create a calendar event titled Office Hours marked as busy so others can’t book over that time. Then add Office Hours to your Transparent Keyword list to free up the time slot to book inside of Meet.
